Ayanna R. Lewis (a.k.a. Psalmoetry) Is a native of Cincinnati, Who currently resides in Fairfield Township (right outside Hamilton, OH). She is married to devoted husband Terrence Lewis (owner of Chrisma Productions) and is mother to their beautiful twin daugters Saida & Terren Lewis. She is a graduate of The School for Creative & Performing Arts- where she studied Drama, vocal music and dance. Ironically though, one of her greatest passions is creative writing... writing poetry and songs that are relatable, relevant and are able to reach down into the very fiber of the listener and (or) reader, in order to impact their life in some good way. She is a born again Christian who believes that her writing ability is one that God has graced her with in order to encourage and inspire others. She has several published works and has spoken and shared her poetic gift in prisons, high-schools, college campuses, church's, out reach venues, weddings, home going services etc., and has recently went forward with displaying her vocal talents by completing "Joy In The Morning"...a devotional CD with a neo-sou/R&B vibe that brings both poetry & song together (along with scriptural exhortation) geared to stir ya joy and minister to your soul! She has a heart for this generation and "hip-hop culture", as well as people at large. Therefore, she was compelled to record her upcoming release "Simply Psalmoetry"....where she's bringin the "mainstream milk" with the "spiritual soul food!" It's a CD consisting of songs that discuss real life situations, relationships and God's genuine love for mankind. The CD is a mix of different genre's ranging from hip-hop, Neo-Soul/Rock-Soul, R&B and Reggaeton with a message that's "lyrically correct"! Psalmoetry is the owner of The Inspiration Shop -an online gift gallery consisting of her own product lines...matted & framed poetry, CDs etc. , as well as colaborative works done with some very talented artists. She is also a graduate of SMTI Bible School and has received a certificate in the Ministry of Helps. Being concerned with this generation in regards to relationships/dating, pre-marital sex, STD's etc., Psalmoetry chose to become a certified abstinence educator through Abstinence Educators Network, and uses these skills to teach and bring awareness to today's youth. She has also recorded songs for 3 CD compilations that focus on such topics. Psalmoetry's love for Christ and people, as well as her diverse sound of music-has opened doors for her to minister and perform her music to over 10,000 people...youth & adults alike during the 2005 Aquire The Fire Tour (Ron Luce) where she shared the stage with national recording artists such as L.G. wise, The News Boys and others.
